I am a classical pianist (by vocation) and a software developer (by profession).
I provide web development services for non-profit, political, educational and/or cultural organizations using open source tools, especially Python and PostgreSQL. I'm not currently on the market for full-time assignments, as I'm quite busy working for the Interactive Media department of WNYC New York Public Radio, but potential employers/clients and other scoffers may nonetheless wish to look at my resume. After a long hiatus, I am beginning to perform again. On April 6th, 2007, I gave a recital at The Buttonwood Tree, a wonderful arts center in Middletown, CT, playing Schubert's A major sonata, D.959, Schönberg's Suite Op. 25, and Schumann's Kreisleriana. After playing, Roy Lisker gave me, in lieu of flowers, a gigantic stuffed penguin.
On June 6th, 2007, I'll be playing the Schönberg and Schumann again in a recital shared with Marina Young, my teacher, at the Lucy Moses School in New York City.
